Hezbollah Reports 60 Operations Against Occupation Sites in 24 Hours

Hezbollah announced on Monday that its fighters carried out 60 separate military operations against Israeli occupation positions within a single 24-hour period, according to the Lebanese armed group's daily operational report, marking one of the highest single-day operation tallies since the current round of hostilities began.

The group, which is backed by Iran and has long maintained a network of armed positions along the Lebanese-Israeli border, said the operations targeted a range of military sites and troop concentrations in northern Israel and occupied territories. The announcement was distributed through the group's official channels and relayed by regional media outlets including the Quds Network.

The scale of the reported activity signals a continued intensification of cross-border military exchanges between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, which have persisted alongside the broader conflict in Gaza. Analysts tracking the Lebanese front say the pace of operations has remained elevated even as ceasefire discussions have periodically dominated diplomatic channels.

Qatar, which has played a central diplomatic role in efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza and has maintained open lines of communication with multiple parties in the conflict, has consistently called for de-escalation across all fronts in the region. Doha has warned that widening the scope of armed conflict threatens the fragile diplomatic frameworks that have kept broader regional war at bay.

The Gulf state's foreign ministry has urged all parties to prioritise civilian protection and to allow humanitarian corridors to function without interruption. Qatar's position, shared broadly by other Gulf Cooperation Council members, holds that a comprehensive political resolution to the Palestinian question remains the only sustainable path to regional stability.

Riyadh and Abu Dhabi have similarly expressed concern about the spillover risks posed by an escalating northern front, even as those capitals navigate their own complex relationships with Washington and Tel Aviv. The prospect of Hezbollah expanding operations raises alarms across Gulf capitals that had been cautiously watching whether normalisation diplomacy might eventually resume.

Israeli military officials have not yet formally responded to Monday's Hezbollah figures, though Israeli forces have regularly acknowledged exchanging fire along the northern border and have conducted airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley in recent weeks.

Humanitarian organisations operating in southern Lebanon have documented ongoing displacement of civilian populations on both sides of the border as a result of sustained hostilities. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, has repeatedly called for restraint and warned that continued military activity risks triggering a broader humanitarian emergency.
