Qatar Condemns Escalation of Israeli Violations Against Palestinian People

The State of Qatar has expressed its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the escalating Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to the systematic aggression targeting civilians across the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar condemned the continued Israeli military operations, which have resulted in mounting civilian casualties, widespread destruction of infrastructure, and a deepening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. The statement emphasized that these actions constitute flagrant violations of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Qatar reaffirmed its unwavering position in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. The statement called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take immediate and decisive action to halt the ongoing aggression and provide protection for the Palestinian civilian population.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Doha's longstanding commitment to supporting all international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative. Qatar urged all parties to respect their obligations under international law and to ensure unimpeded access for humanitarian aid to reach those in need across the Palestinian territories.
The condemnation comes amid a period of heightened tensions in the region, with reports of intensified military operations, settlement expansion, and repeated incursions into Palestinian population centers. International organizations and humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned of the deteriorating conditions facing Palestinian civilians, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where access to essential services including healthcare, clean water, and food supplies remains severely restricted.
Qatar has consistently played a leading diplomatic role in advocating for Palestinian rights on the international stage, leveraging its position within regional and multilateral forums to press for accountability and adherence to international legal standards. Doha has also been among the largest providers of humanitarian and reconstruction assistance to the Palestinian territories, channeling billions of dollars in aid over the past two decades.
The statement concluded by reaffirming Qatar's solidarity with the Palestinian people and its continued dedication to supporting their cause through all available diplomatic and humanitarian channels until a just and lasting resolution is achieved.
